
It’s a tale of music and geekery this autumn in Regina

If you’re visiting Regina during late September and October then you’re in for a treat: coming up we have a whole host of amazing concerts that will appeal to all tastes, and also a special event who love all things connected with geek culture. Whether you’re travelling solo, with your partner, or as part of a family, there’s sure to be something you love going on in the city.
A special concert
Head down to St. James United Church on October 1 and pay tribute to Canada in honour of its 150th birthday. The Harmony 2 Go Youth Barbershop and a few special friends will be performing songs all in name of the great country. Takes place from 7 - 9pm.
Anifest
The Queen City AniFest will be taking place on September 30 at the University of Regina’s RIC Atrium. This event celebrates all things nerdy, from anime, manga comics, and video games, among many others. Come dressed up and ready to have your photo taken in the photobooth!
Indie rock
The supremely talented The New Pornographers, one of Canada’s best bands, will be performing at The Exchange on October 6. Head down and check them performing the best tunes from their extensive back catalogue.
String quartet
And now for something soothing: the Cecilia String Quartet. They’ll be performing some of the most beautiful pieces by two of the world’s most celebrated musicians, Beethoven and Brahms, at the Knox-Metropolitan United Church on October 22. World famous clarinetist and wind soloist James Campbell will also be joining the quarter for the performance.
