Rainy Day Things to Do in Regina

  • May 03, 2017

Summer may well be on its way, but we’re not quite there yet. Before we enjoy those long and warm summer days, we’re going to have to first navigate a few rainy days. But there’s no reason to let a few drops of rain compromise your trip to Regina, oh no - not when there are so many fantastic indoor attractions on hand to ensure you’re kept well entertained and dry at the same time.

Royal Saskatchewan Museum

How much do you really know about Saskatchewan? You can find out all there is to know at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, which dates back to 1906 and features displays outlining Saskatchewan’s native, natural, and geological history. With interactive displays and bags of information, it’ll be fun for the whole family.

Mackenzie Art Gallery

Let’s all raise a glass Norman MacKenzie, an old Regina native who gave the city the MacKenzie Art Gallery, one of the best art galleries in Canada. There are several thousand art works here from a wide range of artists and disciplines, though the special emphasis is on Western Canadian art.

Mounties have become an icon to Canada.

RCMP Heritage Centre

There are few scenes more iconically Canadian than the sight of a mountie. Take a trip to the RCMP Heritage Centre and you’ll be able to learn the history of the mounties through interactive displays and talks. If you time your visit just right, you might even be able to see the mounties march in unison. There’s more than 140 years of history to explore here, which guarantees there’ll be something for everyone.

Book your stay at Days Inn Regina and you’ll have cozy accommodations in which to retreat from the rain outdoors. Located just a few minutes from downtown, our rooms are comfortable, spacious, and jam packed with all the amenities you need to feel at home away from home.
